These gloves, inspired by Viven Leigh, have a ribbon threaded through them which allows you to gather the cuff as Vivien Leigh’s most famous character, Scarlett O’Hara, would have done with her infamous curtains. The repeating diamond motif in this stole is like the simple leaded glass windows popular in Tudor England. The trend away from intricate stained glass was a turn toward simplicity common to the Protestant Reformation.

Finished Measurements: 24 inches (61 cm) wide, and 123 inches (312 cm) long.
Yarn Requirements: 1300 yards of heavy laceweight yarn. Shown in hanspun 3-ply from Spunky Eclectic Panda roving in ‘Blue Moon’
Needle Size: 4 mm (US 6) circular or straight needle for flat knitting or size needed to obtain gauge.
Pattern Includes: charts and text translations of charts
Stitches Used: knit, purl, yo, ssk, k2tog, sl1 k2tog psso, Centered Double Decrease, m1.
Other Details: This shawl is worked from one short edge the full length of the piece. It would be quite easy to modify the number of repeats to widen it further, or to narrow it into a scarf.

This simple zig zagging stitch motif provides the perfect canvas for a beautiful yarn. The small repeat and the easy construction make it ideal for handspun yarn as well. The width can be easily adjusted and the scarf may be bound off when you run out of yarn.
Gauge: 20 sts and 32 rows per 4 inches (10 cm) square in zigzag pattern after blocking
Finished Measurements: 10 inches (25.5 cm) wide and 70 inches (178 cm) long
Yarn Requirements: 350 yds lace to fingering weight yarn. Shown in Habu Textiles N-6B Konyaku Root Sizing Silk in ‘Copper’;
Needle Size: 3.75mm (US 5) straight or circular needles for flat knitting or size needed to obtain gauge
Pattern Includes: charts and text translations of charts
Stitches Used: knit, purl, k2tog, yo, ssk, m1.
Other Details: This scarf is worked in one piece from one short end to the other, with increases and decreases built into the pattern to create a zigzag border that flows with the zig zag in the stitch motif. If you choose to make the scarf out of a heavier or lighter weight yarn, you can adjust the cast on and the number of repeats as instructed in the notes. The nature of the repeat means that you can cast off whenever you would like, although it would be best done either at the midpoint or the end of a repeat.

Ribbing flows smoothly into twisted stitch cables, for a subtley shifting texture that creates a squishy and comfortable sock. The stitch motif eases out of the ribbing at the cuff and decreases back into the ribbing on the top of the foot, mimicking the peaks and valleys of the stitch pattern.

Finished Measurements: To fit 7-9(9-11) inch (18-23(23-28) cm) foot circumference(see notes). 7.75 inches (19.75 cm) from cuff edge to top of heel flap
Yarn Requirements: 360 (450)yds of fingering weight yarn. Shown in Chameleon Colorworks Twinkle Toes in ‘Walk the Lime’
Needle Size: Set of 5 double points in 2.50 mm (US 1.5) or size needed to obtain gauge.

This shawl commemorates one of my favorite things about summer—cherries! From the blossom that appear in the spring to the succulent red and almost purple fruits. This shawl would also be great knitting during the summer months, when it is too hot for a lot of wool in your lap and a project that travels well is much appreciated.
Gauge: 23 stitches and 36 rows per 4 inch (10 cm) square in Chart 4 repeat after blocking.
Finished Measurements: 64 inches (163 cm) across wingspan, 23 inches (58 cm) from bottom to top of center back panel.
Yarn Requirements: 900 yards of laceweight yarn. Sample in The Royale Hare Merino Laceweight in ‘Bing’
Needle Size: 3.25 mm (US 3) 24- or 32-inch circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge.
Pattern Includes: charts and text translations of charts
Stitches Used: knit, purl, k2tog, yo, ssk, p2tog, p2tog through the back loop, sl1 k2tog psso, k3tog, sssk, sl1 k3tog psso, (k1, p1, k1) in 1 st.
Other Details: This shawl is constructed from the long angled edge toward the nape of the neck in two wedge-shaped sections. The center back panel, flanked by decreases, creates a Faroese shape to the shawl. The decrease rate is doubled near the top to create the soft curve on the wingspan edge.

This scarf is worked from end to end along the long side of the scarf. This makes it stripe vertically

These socks are fun and easy to work in any gauge. The lozenge pattern at the cuff and toe of these socks reminds me of the multichambered cross section of sea sponges, which have the genus name Porifera.
Gauge: Pattern gives gauge options for 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 9.5 stitches per inch. Sample shown is 18 stitches and 28 rows per 2 inches (5 cm) square in stockinette.
Finished Measurements: Pattern gives cast on numbers for circumferences ranging from 7-11 inches. Sample shown is knit with 64 sts to fit a woman’s size 9. Circumference around upper cuff is 14 inches (36 cm).
Yarn Requirements: Sample worked with 400 yards of sock weight yarn. Since gauge is variable for this pattern, so is yarn weight.
Needle Size: Sample worked with set of five 2.5 mm (US 1.5) double pointed needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Pattern Includes: charts and text translations of charts
Stitches Used: knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, yo, yo2, picking up stitches, m1, yf, yb, wrap & turn short rows.
Other Details: These socks are knit from the toe up. The toe is starts with a provisional cast-on, followed by 6 rows of stockinette to make a little flap. You will pick up stitches around the flap (including the provisional cast on) and begin work in the round. The number of stitches you will need can be determined by referring to the foot circumference you would like to knit for in the Stitch Table. Negative ease (the stretch that keeps the sock on) is built in to these numbers. Try using different needle sizes to adjust your gauge to match the correct foot circumference. If your foot circumference falls between two given sizes, choose the smaller one, or use a smaller needle to tighten your gauge.

The fabric created by working one strand of Linen/Rayon and one strand of Alpaca together is a tweedy, soft, and firm fabric. The pinstripes, created by working the linen strand only, are subtle, sophisticated, and sexy. Simple lines, turned cuff, and short row heel make this an easy sock to knit, but a great addition to your wardrobe.
Gauge: 17 sts and 25 rounds per 2 inches (5 cm) square in pinstripe pattern with one strand of each yarn held together on 2.25 mm needle.
Finished Measurements: To fit 7 (8, 9) inch (18, 20.5, 23 cm)foot circumference (see notes). 7.25 inches (18.4 cm) from cuff to top of heel.
Yarn Requirements: 56(64,74) grams (230(260,300) yards) of Isager Viscolin (50% linen, 50% Rayon) in Color 51; and 44(50,58) grams (385(437,507) yards) of Isager Alpaca 1 (100% alpaca) in Color 284
Needle Size: Set of 5 double points in 2.25 mm (US 1) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Pattern Includes: written directions
Stitches Used: knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, Centered Double Decrease, wrap & turn short rows.
Other Details: These socks are worked from the cuff down with a provisional cast on and a facing. The facing is joined by working live stitches from the needles together with live stitches from the provisional cast on. Most of the sock is worked holding one strand of each yarn together, and the pinstripe is created by working a slip stitch column of JUST the linen yarn. The pattern includes a short row heel, and a wedge toe.
